What is the F-Gas Regulation?
The F-Gas Regulation controls the use of fluorinated greenhouse gases (HFCs, PFCs, SF6) to reduce climate impact. It requires that only certified engineers install and maintain systems containing F-Gases, and mandates regular leak checks for larger systems.
Do all AC systems need F-Gas certificates?
Any system containing fluorinated refrigerants (R410A, R32, R134a, etc.) requires F-Gas documentation. Systems containing 5 tonnes CO2 equivalent or more must have annual leak checks. All installations must be recorded in an F-Gas log book.
