What is the radon Action Level?
The UK Action Level is 200 Bq/m³ (becquerels per cubic metre). If your home tests above this level, remediation is strongly recommended. The Target Level for new buildings is 100 Bq/m³.
How long does a radon test take?
Long-term passive testing (most accurate) takes 3 months using alpha-track detectors. Short-term screening tests can be done in days using electronic monitors but are less reliable.
