For all new-build dwellings and conversions where there is a separating wall or floor between habitable rooms of different dwellings. Detached houses only need testing if they share a wall with another dwelling.
What are the Part E pass criteria?
For airborne sound through walls: minimum DnT,w of 45 dB. For airborne through floors: minimum 43 dB. For impact sound through floors: maximum L'nT,w of 62 dB (purpose-built) or 64 dB (conversions).
